With 400 million children under the age of 14, India is the next most populous territory in
the world after China and is the largest children's market in the world. However, the
television homes are not as populous but steadily increasing from 80 million as of 2005.
India's animation capacity has rapidly increased in recent years with new studios from all
over the world competing for the same target market.
Spacetoon has teamed up with SaharaOne, one of the strongest television channels in India,
to launch "Spacetoon Hour," broadcasting the top shows from Spacetoon's library. We aim to
establish our brand image in the country to serve the market for further Spacetoon activities.
Our goal is to expand to the rest of the SAARC countries, i.e. Pakistan, Bhutan, Sri Lanka,
Bangladesh, etc.
The head Spacetoon India office is located in Mumbai and will have branch offices in various
locations in the country.
